Provides Individual Therapy to Teens and Adults
Hi and welcome! I’m Lizzie and I’m a licensed social worker with a Masters degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and a Bachelors in Psychology from Boston College. I work with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and identity formation. I have experience working in non-profit and school settings, supporting teens and young adults as they navigate the many changes and challenges that come up as we move through different phases, environments, and life roles.
I take a relational and strengths-based approach to therapy and believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in facilitating personal reflection, challenge, healing, and growth. I bring strong developmental and systems lenses to my work, working to understand how people have come to be who they are in the context of their environment and life trajectory. My approach includes an eclectic mix of cognitive and dialectical behavioral (CBT and DBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed, and narrative therapies. I work to understand what is already working for clients and build skills and treatment plans from there.
In my free time I enjoy long walks in the outdoors, crossword puzzles, music and podcasts, comedy shows, and spending time with friends. Finding and creating space for humor, joy, self-expression, and connection is important to me in both my personal and professional life!
