Sneha Rawlani, MHC-LP

Clinical Psychotherapist
(she/her/hers)
I’m Sneha (pronounced as snayha), a mental health counselor with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. I have experience working in school, college, and clinical settings, and I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I am most well-versed in the areas of anxiety, depression, body image and disordered eating, relationships and family dynamics, self-esteem, neurodivergence (ADHD & autism), gender and sexuality (LGBTQIA+ affirming), non-monogamy/polyamory, and racial/cultural identity.

I have a gentle and grounding presence, and I am affirming and empowering in my approach. I offer practical knowledge and tools, as well as a space that can hold difficult and painful emotions. I focus on understanding how people’s life experiences, traumas, and social conditions have impacted them, rather than focusing solely on symptoms and diagnoses. I utilize a blend of person-centered, narrative, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, conceptualized through a social justice lens.

Having lived most of my life in India, I am intentional about recognizing how our social, cultural, and political contexts shape us. Coming from this collectivist culture, I also understand how significant our relationships and communities are to our wellbeing. Our relationships with ourselves are equally important, and therapy is a means of nurturing this lifelong relationship. I believe that having a warm and caring client-therapist relationship is an essential part of this process, and I bring my authentic, hopeful, passionate, creative, philosophical-intellectual self to this relationship.
