Courtney Smith, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
(she/her/hers)
Hi! I’m Courtney and I’m a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received both my B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Mental Health Counseling while studying at Mercy College. I currently work with adolescents and adults addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and life transitions.
I have had the honor of providing therapeutic services to a wide range of diverse clients in multiple settings, such as community mental health clinics, outpatient substance use clinics, and school/group home settings. I have also provided therapy in the individual, family, group setting, and advocated for the clientele I’ve served. Throughout my career as a LMHC, I have adapted a blended approach to therapy utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including: psychodynamic, person-centered, DBT, CBT, ACT, and more. I tailor these modalities to meet my client’s individual needs and meet them were they are.
As a clinician, my goal is to create a non-judgmental and supportive space for all individuals I have the pleasure of working with. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one, with trust and respect at the center. I look forward to collaborating with you all and supporting you in your life journey.
