Clinical Psychotherapist
(she/her/hers)
Provides Child Play Therapy to Children and Pre-Teens and Individual Therapy to Teens and Adults
Hello! My name is Lauren Eley, and I hold a Masters of Social Work from the New York University Silver School of Social Work. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College, where I studied Education, Creative Writing, and Dance. I have extensive experience working with youth in school settings, where I supported children struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and additional psychological needs. I have also supported and empowered neurodivergent children at a separate agency. I currently work with children, young adults, and their families.

In my practice, I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, and then tailoring my approach to best suit their individual needs. I am a strong believer in the Strengths-based, Solutions-focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities. Furthermore, my therapeutic approach is highly collaborative, meaning I believe in heavy parent involvement and frequently facilitate group sessions. I prioritize client self-actualization by working with them to develop the tools they need to advocate for themselves and meet their full potential.

As a highly compassionate individual, I provide empathetic, high quality care to each one of my clients. My background and passion for the arts has lead me to approach my work through a creative lens, which manifests in various ways, including an emphasis on play therapy and art therapy.
