What are Life Transitions & Self-Improvement?
There are different types of change and transition we experience during our lifetimes. There is built in developmental change and situational, environmental change. Change is an ever present part of life and whether brought upon willingly or unwillingly, change can be stressful and taxing on the human system.
Sometimes you might fight change, struggle with it or have difficulty making changes you know you need to in order to grow and flourish. Perhaps you feel stuck, unfulfilled, question your purpose or feel that you are living on automatic pilot. All of which are crucial signs that you are not living in alignment with your true self.
If you struggle with wanting more out of life but not sure how or where to start, you are not alone. Living in a way that actualizes your full potential is a vital human need and one that directly impacts your happiness and sense of meaning in the world.
The journey of self-discovery and growth can be a very challenging and sometimes painful process. Even when you know change is needed, doing so can feel daunting and scary and so many people passively decide to remain stuck rather than try to change, resulting in internalized anger, anxiety, emptiness and depression.
Finding the best support and guidance for you as well as accumulating a set of tools and wisdom, helps to manage the stress that comes along with any life transition or change. If you are currently in the midst of a life transition or seeking help preparing to make a change, therapists at Bhava Therapy Group are skilled professionals who can offer assistance and support during this time.We at BHAVA therapy believe that change is a necessary and crucial part of growth.
Oftentimes your goals and wants are repressed, muddled or confused with what others want for you. As such, our first goal in the therapeutic process is to help you identify what it is you want to do with your life. Our second goal is to identify those emotional, psychological and environmental blocks for reaching those goals for self- realization. Our third goal is to help you establish a plan to meet those goals and overcome those obstacles and then compassionately support you along your journey.
